Giving your time, lending your skills, raising funds
We are always recruiting female volunteers who are good listeners, and can support women and girls confidently, with warmth, empathy and without judgement on our telephone helpline. Alternatively we also recruit volunteers to join our fundraising committee who meet monthly and organise fundraising events such as quizes, skittles evenings and our annual charity auction. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information if you’d like to spare a few hours. In return we provide specialist, accredited sexual violence training, as well as opportunities for continued professional development, clinical supervision and reimburse travel expenses.
We would like to thank individuals and businesses in the community we have received support from.
Could you help build our community of support?
As our organisation grows to meet the needs of local women, we find ourselves looking for additional support: to help spread awareness of the work we do and raise funds, importantly to directly support women and girls who call our helpline.
Since 1984 Gloucestershire Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre has operated as an inclusive team, with trustees, staff, volunteers and survivors all having a say in the direction we take. This website and new logo was created with feedback from everyone involved!
