With many Police Forces deciding to no longer maintain Specialist Trained Officers for sexual violence cases, this timely piece of research is looking for participants to help us understand whether relying on First Response Officers alone to respond to sexual violence reports affects reporter’s experiences of first response, support, prosecution and outcomes of sexual violence cases. We are asking anyone who has reported sexual violence to the Police in England and Wales since 2010 and was over the age of 18 at the time of reporting to complete this survey (https://glos.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/first-response-to-reporting-of-sexual-violence). This should take around 20-30 minutes to complete and will be used to help Police Forces understand how to improve first response to people who have experienced sexual violence. This research is being conducted by the Sexual Violence Research Group at University of Gloucestershire which is led by Dr Louise Livesey and has been approved by the University of Gloucestershire Ethics Committee
