Getting involved

Giving your time, lending your skills, raising funds

We welcome input from people with skills that can help us reach more people in the community. We’re helped by people with media skills, connections to influencers, accountants and solicitors, event organisers, typists, people with creative skills. Please contact us if you’d like to spare a few hours, share your knowledge or ideas.
We really hope we can find an accountant for 2018!

Simply talking about the work we do, and sharing our news on social media, connects us with people who might need our support, or want to become involved in helping sustain the service for others.

We’re honoured, and humbled, by the support we have received from individuals and businesses in the community – athletes who’ve raised funds by running marathons, businesses who’ve donated prizes for fundraising raffles; groups that have organised fundraising events; corporate staff teams who’ve spent volunteer time at the centre; individuals who’ve introduced us to charitable organisations;musicians who’ve performed at awareness and fundraising events… and more!

Our team will work with you, in any way we can, to make your fundraising initiative a success.

We are also grateful to the Gloucestershire businesses and staff teams who have chosen to support our work

Could you help build our community of support?

As our organisation grows to meet the needs of local women, we find ourselves looking for additional support: to help spread awareness of the work we do and raise funds, importantly to directly support women and girls who call our helpline.

Since 1984 Gloucestershire Rape and Sexual Abuse Support has operated as an inclusive team, with trustees, staff, volunteers and survivors all having a say in the direction we take. This website and new logo was created with feedback from everyone involved!
