This post is restricted to female applicants only under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010, as the role involves working directly with female survivors of sexual violence in a women-only service
Salary: £28,218
Hours: 37.5 (5 days a week –includes occasional evening groupwork)
Contract: 12month contract (subject to probationary period - possible extension subject to funding) agile workingincluding home, office and community.
Join Gloucestershire Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre (GRASAC) to make a real difference to survivors/victims of sexual violence and abuse by ensuring the effective and smooth coordination of services for survivors across the partnership. As the initial point of contact for both survivors and referrers, the Navigator plays a vital role in facilitating safe access to support tailored to each individual's needs as well as ensuring we continue to deliver high quality specialist services and work towards ending sexual violence.
You will be passionate about ending violence against women and girls from all communities, and all those who it effects, with experience working within a sexual violence or trauma focused service. You will have a good understanding of Sexual Violence and Abuse, Trauma, Safeguarding and the potential barriers Survivors may face in accessing support or reporting.
You will be a clear, calm communicator with the ability to take initiative, problem solve and work in a dynamic fast-paced environment. 50% of the postholder's time will be spent doing Navigator work and 50% delivering Specialist Support Work and associated Duties.

We are based just outside of Gloucester in a peaceful rural setting in relaxed offices, offering dedicated space for working with clients, running groups and ample parking (subject to change 2026).
GRASAC is a registered charity that supports anyone who has experienced or who is experiencing rape and/or sexual violence. We provide emotional and practical support to survivors of rape, sexual violence and childhood sexual abuse, including advocacy and support groups. We are proud to support people of all genders and recognise in particular the impact sexual violence has on women and girls.
